China just built an artificial moon just like the artificial sun.

This new facility will help them to understand the moon and prepare them for a future mission to the moon. The artificial moon will use powerful magnetic fields to cancel out gravitational effects. The scientist was inspired by an earlier experiment that used magnets to levitate a frog.

China is planning to build a permanent base on the moon in the early 2030s. Not only China, the US, and Russia are also planning the same. China will be collaborating with Russia to build a lunar base in multiple phases. Thus they need a lunar-like place for the testing of material that can be used outside the earth. China’s 60 cm artificial moon chamber is one place to conduct such experiments. The vacuum chamber will be filled with rocks and dust to imitate the lunar surface. The low gravitational condition will also be maintained for as long as a scientist can survive in the facility. That will help them to understand the moon.

The principal scientific concept used to build the chamber is diamagnetic levitation to cancel the gravitational field. We know that most of the ordinary material, including human beings, exhibit weak diamagnetism. Hence placing a diamagnetic object under the strong magnetic field can levitate it. This facility will help the researchers carry out a wide range of tests. China has also planned for the 3d painting of solar panels at the lunar equator. China is also working on its artificial sun.

They have created five times the sun’s core temperature for the longest period recorded. China’s East nuclear reactor can generate 70 million degrees centigrade in about 17 minutes. In the next few years, even the US has plans to send people on the moon. NASA is also planning to build a nuclear reactor on the moon. Very soon, we will have a tourist place on the moon’s surface.
